General Font Information

  • I'm sure everyone's going to be looking for a font like the titles in Tim Burton's The Corpse Bride for this Halloween. You can find it under that name on the General and New Fonts page. Note that this is a demo/shareware version and doesn't contain punctuation or numerals. The full font with these characters can be found at the Scriptorium site for $18 under the name Beynkales but the demo should allow you to do almost anything like signage, invitations, cards and so forth, especially if you're a little creative. Example - do your invitation with this font and then when you list your address and phone, switch to something easily readable like Arial - make it look like you meant it to be that way in person...or buy the full font itself. I did. And no, I won't give you a copy of the full version. Pay the guy who took all the time to make it up - wouldn't you want to be paid for the work you do, too?

  • Need help installing your new fonts? Choose your operating system:

  • If you're using Windows 2000, Windows ME or Windows XP and the Burton's Nightmare font doesn't work since your recent update, try using PS Bluegum Forest - virtually the same typeface with a different name.

  • Note on Some Fonts - if you see a square box on any of the examples on the following pages or when you type something using your newly installed font, it's because that particular font does not have the character you typed included in the font set you're using. Example - some fonts are all uppercase, some have no numbers, some have no punctuation marks.  When you type something on your keyboard that isn't available in that font face, you get the box to let you know.

  • I've been doing some more updating & reorganizing of the font files. If you have ANY problems with the graphic examples loading on any of the pages or if you have problems downloading or installing any of the fonts, please click here to email me  with the name of the font you're trying to download or don't get the example of and I'll send the font to you directly right away. I know at this time of year, we need those spooky fonts pronto!

Each of the fonts pages is graphics-intensive so please allow time for all the examples to load.

The Goblinville Font Pages:

For quicker page loading and to make it easier to find a particular type of font, I've broken the fonts into the following categories.  I've also decided to put newly-added fonts on a separate page so you don't have to keep checking all the pages to see what's recently been added. The newly-added fonts are also included on their categorized page. A very limited selection of fonts may appear on two pages since they seemed to straddle two font styles.

  • New Fonts - Fonts added recently.  They'll be included on the categorized page, but also on the New Font page so you don't have to keep checking each & every page for new fonts to add to your collection

  • General & All Purpose - not only for Halloween, these can be used any time of the year.

  • Bones - Letters, numbers and symbols made up of bones.  These look best large so that the detail shows.  Some are solid, some are outlines only.

  • Dingbats, Symbols & Icons - Most of these combine the most popular holidays but include Halloween items - witches, ghosts, skulls, etc.

  • Bloody & Oozing Fonts - as the name suggests, these fonts look like they were written and then started to ooze.  In red, the look like blood, but a bright green is another good creepy choice.

  • Handwriting - these fonts look like they're handwritten or scrawled.

  • Ghosties & Gravestones & Pumpkins (Oh my!) - These fonts are in the shape of gravestones or pumpkins with the letter on the particular shape, or made of the subject.

  • Only Capitals - these few fonts have no lower case, numbers or other keys. They come in handy for titles and such.
